Searching the Bible to Come to Jesus Christ: the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

December 13, 2021

BibleIn 1 Peter 4:11 we read, “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen”.

This blog is intended to serve as a venue to post several Bible studies that have been developed over the years, which are intended solely to show how God is glorified through Jesus Christ as revealed by God from the Bible.

The intent is to merely share what has been learned from the Bible, by God’s mercy, and in the hope that:

1) it might edify, comfort, and strengthen the faith of the Saints (true Believing Christians) and

2) if, by God’s mercy, there are still any left who are still on the road to Salvation…e.g., those who are still earnestly seeking God (because He first sought us)… that they may be richly blessed in these last, very dark (from a gospel perspective) days.

3) and that all readers would come to know for certain that the Bible is the true and trustworthy Word of God, and that “Salvation” means being saved from God’s determined just penalty for sins, which requires an eternity in Hell come Judgment Day (please see: https://bereansearching.com/2017/01/30/is-there-an-eternal-hell/).  Jesus is the only means of escape, because Jesus, as the “Lamb of God”, Is the ONLY acceptable sacrificial substitute for sin in accordance with God’s Law.

As Jesus said as we read in Matthew 13:7&8, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

There are only a small number of studies, but most are in-depth.  May they be a blessing to anyone whom God leads here and may they be counted among the few who come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ our Lord God and Savior.

POSTSCRIPT: For anyone looking for proof of the validity of the hermeneutics that have been applied to the expositions found in these Bible studies, one proof can be found in the Book of Acts, chapter 8:26-35 (addressing the question concerning Isaiah chapter 53, verses 7&8 and its exposition by Philip),

And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.  And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,  Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.  Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.  And Philip ran thither to [him], and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?  And he  said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.  The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:  In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.  And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?   Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

Succinctly stated…The Old Testament is the New Testament CONCEALED, and the New Testament is the Old Testament REVEALED…and it is all about Jesus Christ and God’s Magnificent Salvation Plan through Him!
